A WMS (Warehouse Management System) manages the physical operation of a warehouse: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, transfers between locations, cycle counts. The WMS lives close to the warehouse floor — operators use handheld devices or smartphones to record every movement as it happens — and syncs continuously with the ERP so that logical stock always reflects physical stock.
